DPW trucks arrive Tuesday afternoon after receiving an order to trash unattended belongings in this encampment.
Breaking news…. The DPW was under the Fallsway bridge with a trash truck around 1:00 PM today intent on trashing homeless residents belongings. Approximately twenty people live under the bridge. Homeless advocates nearby went under the bridge to assist the residents of the encampment with this immediate crisis. DPW officers stated that if encampment residents weren’t present with their belongings that they would be trashed. This raid confirms predictions from street oracle, Tony the Tiger Simmons, that Fallsway evictions would not stop with Camp 83. It seems there is a definitely a War On the Homeless being funded by your tax dollars.

About twenty people live under the bridge across from HCH, making their beds neatly in the space behind these concrete barriers.
Fallsway Bridge Encampment residents were extremely upset with the DPW’s plan to trash all their possessions. Many stood in front of their “homes” to preserve what little they have. People have basic supplies like bedding and medicine, as well as special things they value.

Bonnie, the city didnt come back did they? They told Adam that they wouldnt throw away anyones stuff at this time. We know that they will make everyone leave before the farmers Market but they wont tear anything up without giving advance warning. The residents need to clean their camp, The city said they would bring trash bags and the residents can put all the trash in one area for pickup.
Mark, It looks like this was not the ’83 encampment’ we’ve all been keeping up with but another encampment. Though i feel strongly that this is not right to do, especially without warning, they may have been referring to the ’83 encampment’ when the told Adam that.
it’s almost as though we need to record or document exactly who from the city says what so we can try to hold them too it..
[...] Another eviction story began before we could finish wrapping this one up. Prepare for more. [...]
